I'm currently making my way through Lost Girls: An Unsolved American Mystery by Robert Kolker, which details the unsolved murders in the search for the Long Island serial killer that's currently still at large. Very interesting read so far, because it dives into the lives of the known victims as well and traces their last-known movements. The pacing of the book is exactly right, too, and succeeds in drawing you in.

I've been posting true crime ebook deals on Tumblr, I could post them on here as well, if you guys would be interested. Personally, I love physical copies of books but getting books for $2 and less is always kind of nice. Let me know what you think.

I just highly recommend "jack the ripper: the case book". Yeah, it's quite an overrated case, but the book itself is pretty awesome because it comes with copies of his letters, copies of the fliers sent around during that time, etc. it's really cool and I would recommend it

Really good collection! I'll definitely look into the ones reblomakr posted. I own three that I didn't see on the list or the forum that I thought were pretty good so I'll add them here:

Killer Clown - The John Wayne Gacy Murders by Terry Sullivan with Peter T. Malken (my personal favourite)
Dismembered by Susan D. Mustafa and Sue Israel
Karla by Stephan Williams

Hitler's Furies: German Women in the Nazi Killing Fields
I thought that said Hitler's furries and I choked on my drink. That is a great list though.

From ones I own -Monster: My True Story about Aileen Wuornos was a very good book from top of my head, Spree Killers by Nigel Cawthorne is excellent (Pekka is even in it) any of the books about Moors Murderers has been excellent, and as personal choice about Ian Huntley and his life, and lots of details about his crime called Beyond Evil

Ann L. Bucholtz - Death Investigation: an Introduction to Forensic Pathology
Big Ideas Simply Explained: The Crime Book
Carrabine and others - Criminology: A Sociological Introduction
David Cariens - Virginia Tech: Make Sure It Doesn't Get Out
David Simon - Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets
Erik Larson - The Devil in the White City
Gabriele Suboch - Real-World Crime Scene Investigation
James Alan Fox & Jack Levin - Extreme Killing: Understanding Serial and Mass Murder
James Ellroy - LAPD'53
Jill Leovy - Ghettoside
John Berendt - Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil
Jon Krakauer - Under The Banner of Heaven
Joseph Prahlow - Forensic Pathology for Police, Death Investigators, Attorneys, and Forensic Scientists
Julia Scheeres - A Thousand Lives
Katherine S. Newman - Rampage
Louis Klarevas - Rampage Nation: Securing America from Mass Shootings
Michael Connelly - Crime Beat
Michael Griesbach - Indefensible
Norman Mailer - The Executioner's Song
P.C. White - Crime Scene to Court: The Essentials of Forensic Science
