Books/Films to avoid? Empty Books/Films to avoid?

Post by earlymourning Sun Jun 11, 2017 5:53 pm

I'll admit, my library of true crime books is a hell of a lot smaller than I'd like (as in, its empty). I can say the same for true crime movies. Of course, I'd like to start collecting now that I know I'm interested in true crime, but I'm pretty shit at separating the good true crime content and resources from...well, the shit.

So what are some of the books/movies that are inaccurate/badly written/too biased and a good idea to avoid?

Seconding the mention of Cullen's fantasy. It's pretty much the only true crime book that I know for sure is absolute trash, haha. I also want to sidenote Capote's In Cold Blood for a second here, because it's well-written but may have some bias due to Capote's relationship with one of the perpetrators.
